Featured Photo: Mahabodhi Temple

One of the most holy and sacred place in Buddhism, the Mahabodhi temple is located at Bodh Gaya, Bihar State of India.  It is said to be the location where Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, attained enlightenment.  In June 2002, the temple become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The holy Bodhi tree is on the western side of the temple, which has the tallest tower at a height of 55 metres.Mahabodhi TempleThis image is available for purchase as fine art print or licensing.
