Mount Tai, located in the city of Tai’an in Shangdong Province, China. The tallest peak is know as Jade Emperor Peak, estimated at more than 5000 ft. It is one of the “Five Great Mountains” of China and a place of worship, where during the time of Shang and Qing Dynasty, the emperor would pay homage to heaven and earth. It has been UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Throughout the years, people will hike up the mountain over the night, reach the peak before sunrise and make their way down after watching the beautiful sunrise.
