On the southern part of Bali of Indonesia is a place called Jimbaran which houses several world class 5 star beach resorts and few moderate mid-market hotels. It was formerly a small fishing village with a daily market. Jimabaran fish market currently still exist and is located at the northern end of the bay right by the beach. The market is most active in the morning between 6am to 9am where the fishing boat arrive with all the catches. The moment the boat docked, you will see customers who include the locals and the owners of the Bali’s restaurants rush towards them and try to get their hands of the fish.
The photo shows a fishwife, carrying the fish which she successfully bought from the fisherman over her head and walking back to her stall.
